One of these things is not like the other

From an older roll of film, and from the cemetery I've been shooting. Not entirely certain what this is, Indian Burial Totem would be my guess, but I've been known to be completely off before.
So, any audience members want to enlighten me?

Clock

Initially I thought this was some ornate clock at the train station, but obviously I was wrong. I have no idea what it is, or what it might represent. It looks like a prop from the film Dark City. Reading the letters in standard left to right fashion, it spells out SLA Service Level Agreement? I don't think so. Backwards it's ALS, or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, so that's not it either.
Whatever it is, the attention to detail is stunning.

Riverline

More from the storm, film this time. For reasons I can't fathom, I've misplaced my warm hats. Heck, I've misplaced *all* my hats, warm or not. My guess is they're hanging out with the socks I've lost in the dryer, but it's a guess at best.
So I head out to my local friendly(?) superultrameganew chain store to buy a warm hat. Guess what? They don't have any, in fact, they don't have any winter clothes *at all*, they're too busy selling, get this, swimware. Yeah, that's not a typo, swimware. It's 15 degrees outside, with 8 inches of snow, 20 mph winds, and not a hat in sight...
So I didn't stay as long as I wanted to at the local river park, seeing as how my ears fell off, and have now joined my socks and hats. Somewhere warm probably.

Misplaced

I can't figure out what all these switches were doing at a boat landing, especially considering their condition. Nonetheless it does pique the mind as to their function.
