Up Close and In Person

As the night went on, the place got more and more crowded, but everyone there was very kind to let me sneak in, get an up close shot, and then move on.
There were a few mosh pits going on, but those involved kindly didn't include me which I was shooting the band members.

Just Plain Cute

African penguins. They showed no fear of me, and were more than happy to be silly for the camera. Shame I couldn't feed them which is probably what they were hoping for.
Sorry little guy, next time I'll bring some fish.

Almost

As the saying goes, "Almost only counts in Horseshoes." I add "Hand Grenades and H-Bombs" to bring it into the modern world, but the point stands, this shot here was almost a good shot. Too much shadow under his hat kind of obscures his face, but so it goes, I'll be trying more action shots as the months go by.

Up Close and Personal

Okay not so much, but rather a closeup of the falls using a zoom lens. Nothing fancy about the image, I just like the step-life effect of the falling water over the rocks.

Wild Wild Life

Lots of wildlife (no, not fratboys) casually sauntering around Colorado, including foxes, rabbits, sheep and deer.
This doe was untroubled by me getting really close, and as such, I got some great shots of her feeding.

Up close and personal

Not taken with a true macro, but rather taken with a 17-35mm lens at the closest focual point. I liked how the background turned out.
