The Old Ways

A co-worker of mine owns this Lotus Elise. He was kind enough to loan it out to me for an afternoon photoshoot. This was taken at a local school yard on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

I shot it with my Nikon D2x, 17-35mm lens and an ISO of 200. While I should have brought a tripod (we shot it elsewhere around town and I didn't want to lug around too much gear) it's sharp enough.

I used to drive Italian sports cars exclusively when I was younger and wish I'd been into photography at that point in time. No matter, I can borrow the Lotus anytime.

It's nice to have friends like that!

I am Overkill, The Devil's Wrath!

Singer from the fantastic local band, Play Dead. They had all the lights on full, which gave me perfectly lit subjects.

This concert was a fantastic event for me, not only getting to hear some great bands and making some new friends, but it's one more thing off my bucket list.

Friendship

So those that have been reading this site as of late, know I've had no inspiration and my work has reflected that. I've had the Devil's own time finding beauty in everyday things. Well a friend e.mailed me and gave me some words of encouragement, and it gave me strength, and a renewed sense of desire.

So today after work, despite the continued poor weather, I dug out my dedicated Macro lens, and some household objects, and went to town.

So this one is dedicated to you, for even in the depths of your troubles, you reached out and lent me your strength. You're the best.
